Sutura Therapeutics is a biopharmaceutical company at the forefront of developing next-generation biomolecular medicines. Sutura were moving their research operations to a new laboratory facility within the state-of-the-art Alderley Park life science campus.

Mobile Laboratory Furniture

Flexibility is critical for Sutura’s research as workflows change according to requirements. Mobile lab benches were requested for their new research space with Trespa worktops and lockable wheels. These were designed to work with the client’s existing mobile drawer units to minimise cost.

Laboratory Workstations with Lockable Castors

The research team required a flexible solution for their new lab benching. The scientists use heavy equipment which requires several power sources to individual benches, some individual units required 10 outlets.

As part of the installation there are 2 clusters of benches that form islands in the centre of the laboratory. Each group of benches has a commando socket allowing them to connect to a power pole with daisy chained electrics running between the individual units.

It was essential for the workbenches to support a minimum load therefore a heavy duty design was required. The Klick workstations provide a stable base when locked into position and can accept a load of 250kg when stationary.

Klick fitted all the electrical connections and completed the testing at our warehouse and then delivered the finished units. There was close liaison throughout the project to ensure the brief was met and the Sutura team are delighted with the functionality of their new lab workstations.
