Klick provided the furniture for the new art and design facility at Bedales School in Hampshire. Their staff were patient during the design phase, making suggestions to ensure the design brief was answered in a practical way. Their project management team provided excellent support throughout and the installation team were proactive on site. The staff at the Guildford office have nothing but praise for Klick and hope to work with them again in the near future.

The school wanted an inspirational but practical space using simple materials and a neutral palette. Working space, display space and space to store their work were all key. The brief was to provide bespoke furniture to complement the rustic appearance of the buildings.
The architect requested plywood as the main material for the project. Klick researched a suitable specification for the ply and additional materials for the different areas within the building. It was important to ensure the materials for the wet sink areas were appropriate. Trespa and stainless steel were selected which complemented the birch ply.
The design team worked on the development of the various bespoke items. Large mobile units were built for the storage of practical work. Partitioned, wall mounted units were constructed in birch ply for the display of artwork and inspirational pieces.
The art and design department will move from their dated temporary buildings into the new facility which now fully reflects the school’s commitment to creativity and the visual arts.
