Klick came up with a contemporary design which created real impact in the new science laboratory. They knocked two classrooms into one, removing a wall to create the space for a more impressive scheme. Their staff were efficient and provided a professional refurbishment service. The new laboratory was handed over in time for the new term and the staff and students are really pleased with the new facility.
Paul Gadd – Estates and Facilities Manager, South Cheshire College, Crewe
South Cheshire College were looking for a company to provide a full refurbishment service as two rooms were to be converted into one large science laboratory. The brief was to create a contemporary laboratory with ‘wow’ factor that would inspire higher education students and make the most of the new spacious room.
The College staff selected Klick’s design with stylish curved outer benches and a central bell shaped pod. This layout is ideal for collaborative learning as the college students can participate in group activities around the pod. Teaching staff can also use this area for demonstrations.
The Klick refurbishment team set about removing the wall between the two classrooms. The rooms were originally teaching classrooms and therefore electrical and plumbing services had to be extended to provide water and gas to the new outlet positions on the workbenches.
The college were delighted with their science laboratory refurbishment and impressed by the project management service provided by Klick.
