PROJECT BRIEF
The school were looking for a company to provide a full science lab refurbishment service with a cost effective solution to remodel their outdated science block. The aim was to transform the rooms into inspirational modern labs, with improved layout and storage provision.
THE RESULTS
Klick worked closely with the senior leadership team and the teaching staff in order to understand the requirements of the school.
Design Consultancy for Laboratory Refurbishment
At the initial stages our designers presented moodboards to illustrate the new teaching environment. The school were looking for a clean and contemporary look and selected a neutral colour scheme for the furniture with contrasting purple stools. Teaching walls were included to provide a focal point and extra storage space at the front of the labs.
Refurbishment of Science Lab
Before work could start on the labs the external drainage had to be upgraded. Doorways were relocated in order to make space for the new teaching walls and the floors were chased to allow for the new location of the services.
There was minimal snagging, which was promptly addressed, and the school were very happy with the service and the end result.
