Having worked with Klick over a number of years we have developed a really positive relationship. Their design input has been invaluable and they shared a clear understanding of our goals. It has been a pleasure to work with them on the two recent projects: the refurbishment of all 15 of the labs at the College and the more recent refurbishment of 4 labs just finished at the Prep School. This sees the successful completion of a 4 year project.

PROJECT BRIEF
The college had plans to refurbish their science department on a rolling programme. They were looking for a supplier to offer a quality product with timeless appeal. Their aim was to create clean lines and uncluttered work spaces. The design was future proofed to incorporate more storage than currently required to allow for expansion.
THE RESULTS
The project started with the refurbishment of one biology lab and then Klick continued with a programme to transform one lab a year. This proved successful and the college made the decision to complete all of the remaining 11 labs in one go.
Each department selected the layout to suit their requirements. The biology department selected a ‘C’ shaped design whilst a cranked island layout was prefered for the physics & chemistry labs. The sixth form lab featured large islands to promote collaborative learning. The college opted for grey furniture for all the labs and Velstone worktops, which create clean lines, are hardwearing and long lasting.
The final phase was completed a year later to refurbish 4 labs and a design and technology room for the prep school.
