Klick were contracted by Education Facilities Management (E. F. M.) to convert a music room into a food technology room at JCoSS. Despite a tight schedule, Klick’s project management team overcame several difficulties on site and completed the works on time and within budget. The school is really pleased with the new food room and the professional way the contract was managed.

Due to the popularity of the subject the school needed an additional food technology room. The school planned to convert a music room, however there were no existing services in the room.
E.F.M were impressed with Klick’s full refurbishment package and their programme to ensure completion within the summer holidays. Klick managed all the trades and worked closely with E.F.M to maintain the schedule. The provision of drainage was a major issue and all plumbing services had to be extended. A new electrical sub main was also installed to allow for the increased power requirement.
The school opted for speckled white Trespa worktops and a layout featuring ‘D’ end peninsulas which allow for 4 students to be seated around the end of the workbench for theory lessons. All white goods were supplied and fitted to complete the package and the school is really pleased with the new facilities.
