Klick's furniture has transformed our 40 year old labs and prep rooms from a dated old fashioned facility, to a modern, clean and inspiring work space that we are proud to showcase. PROJECT BRIEF
The college successfully secured funds from Wolfson to assist with the financing of the project. Three of the labs were large enough for the ‘learning curve’ design whilst the cranked island design was selected for the fourth, smaller 6th Form lab. The staff were particularly happy with the finish of the Velstone work tops in the previous lab and so selected this material again for all of the rooms.
The existing three preps rooms were not being fully utilised and therefore it was decided to give each room a dedicated purpose. One was retained as a practical prep room, whislt the second was made into a store room and the third was fitted with a bag store area and used by staff as an office. The science department has been transformed with inspirational yet functional new labs.
