Klick have been the laboratory furniture suppliers on a number of science laboratory refurbishment schemes that I have managed over the past 10 years at various schools. I have always found them to be competitive and have often been successful with their tenders. They are good at working to strict timescales, with minimal snags on completion. For the project at Tarleton Academy they were able to source purple doors to coordinate with the school's colour scheme. Their site team worked well with the main contractor to manage a phased project which started during term time. They are proactive and helpful and can be relied upon to deliver a quality product according to schedule.

The project required a phased installation to start in June. Only one lab could be spared during term time so a phased schedule was agreed with the school.
Lea Hough selected Klick Technology based on their experience of working together on previous projects. The labs were to accommodate 30 pupils and a similar layout had been used on a previous project at Hodgson Academy. This design allows all the students to face the front of the class and the teacher has good visibility of the pupils.
The school selected Speckled Grey Trespa work tops and Klick sourced a special door colour to co-ordinate with the school’s colours. Beech stools were supplied to complete the project.
Work commenced in June so that 2 labs could be completed during the summer term, to tie in with the builder’s programme of works. The final 3 labs were completed on schedule by the end of August. This phased hand over allowed more time for the staff to move back into the new rooms.
