Their refurbishment has transformed a standard classroom into a bright, exciting and much needed additional lab. PROJECT BRIEF
The school needed to find extra space for an additional science laboratory and made the decision to convert a classroom and corridor space into one fully serviced science lab. The school’s main priorities were quality and design. They wanted a hardwearing work surface that would stand the test of time and a practical design to match.
THE RESULTS
In order to address the school’s main concern Trespa was selected for the worktop material. It is has excellent impact resistance and is ideal for the demands of a school science laboratory.
Our designers came up with a straight island layout which made the most of the new space. This is a simple but effective design that creates a modern look. We curved the ends of the benching to add a contemporary twist. The sinks were positioned in the perimeter benching at the back of the room to prevent students from being distracted during theory lessons.
The school is delighted with their additional new science laboratory and our cost-effective refurbishment service.
